The Polish Institute in Tbilisi is actively cooperating with Georgian and Polish institutions.

ARCHEOLOGY

The Polish Institute is a co-founder of the Polish-Georgian Interdisciplinary Research Center of Professor S. Krukowski in Kutaisi. MUSEOLOGY

In cooperation with the National Museum in Krakow and the National Agency for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Georgia, the Polish Institute began the implementation of a long-term project aimed at improving the qualifications of employees of Georgian regional museums.

CONSULTATION FOR THE PROTECTION OF HERITAGE

The Polish Institute is implementing a project aimed at raising the qualifications of people responsible for managing cultural heritage in Georgia. Activities are implemented for the National Agency for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Georgia in the field of revitalization of cities and villages of high cultural significance, creation of cultural heritage routes and revitalization of selected objects.

POLISH-GEORGIAN HISTORICAL COMMISSION

The aim of the Commission is to develop joint historical research concerning the period 1917 – 1921 with particular emphasis on mutual relations and the policy of Soviet Russia towards the region by: organizing a series of seminars in Poland and Georgia together with publications on the above-mentioned period in bilateral relations.
