Lecture in Polish: ‘Reprezentacja i konflikty – polonistyka na przełomie XX i XXI w.’ by Przemysław Czapliński at the ULB
Department of Polish Studies at the ULB, with the support of the Polish Institute in Brussels and the Polish language course at the University of Mons, invite you to a lecture Representation and conflict – Polish Studies at the Turn of the 20th and 21st Centuries”, by Przemysław Czapliński, Professor of Polish Literature at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Czapliński is the author of over a dozen books and the recipient of several national book awards. He writes on Polish modern and postmodern literature, the history of ideas, and the sociology and anthropology of literature. As part of his research and teaching stay at the ULB, he is a guest of the Department of Polish Studies, as part of the Chaire de Coopération Internationale (Department of International Cooperation).
In September, the translation of Prof. Czapliński’s book “Poruszona mapa” into French had its premiere. “La Carte déplacée, L’imaginaire géographique et culturel des lettres polonaises au tournant des XXe et XXIe siècles”, published by Presses Universitaires du Septentrion, will be available for purchase during the conference.
