Exhibition: Festive opening of Agnieszka Polska – Flowers on the Sun exhibition at M HKA Antwerp
Celebrate the opening of the new artistic season at M HKA, which includes the Agnieszka Polska’s exhibition “Flowers on the Sun”. On Thursday evening, 10 October, M HKA will open its doors, free to the public. That evening, in the presence of the artists, you can explore a whole new range of exhibitions.
The exhibition at M HKA marks the first solo presentation of Polish artist Agnieszka Polska in Belgium. Thematically, it focuses on the entanglement of the past and the future, understanding time as a non-linear entity, and observing complex systems involving human and non-human agents (plants, animals, machines). The exhibition will feature Polska’s newest film, The Book of Flowers (2023), as well as The New Sun (2020) and a series of mobile sculptures titled Braudel’s Clocks (2022).
Agnieszka Polska was born in 1985. She creates videos, animations and photographs, often using archival or stock material, combining it with animation. She lives and works in Berlin.
