Exhibition: Język polski – Polszczyzna | celebrating European Day of Languages

Following its well-received presentation at the Polish Day in Brussels 2025, we are presenting the exhibition on the fence of the Embassy of Poland in Brussels. Organized on the occasion of the European Day of Languages on 26 September, this outdoor exhibition in English is open to everyone interested in the fascinating nuances of the Polish language.

The European Day of Languages is a great chance to celebrate the rich linguistic diversity of our continent, where more than 200 languages are spoken. Among them is Polish – one of the 24 official languages of the European Union, with around around 45 million speakers worldwide. Although it is often considered difficult to learn, Polish stands out with its unique sound, rich history, and complexity, making the learning process an exciting and rewarding adventure.

Join us on a journey across a most unique alphabet and listen to the hissy-shishychittery sounds of the Polish language. Our guide will be associations, dots, slashes, acute accents and squiggles which will help us remember what is most singular and interesting about the Polish tongue.
