The exhibition on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Karol Wojtyła, Pope John Paul II was inaugurated on 7 October 2020 at 6.30 pm in the presence of His Eminence Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich and His Excellency the Ambassador of Poland Piotr Wojtczak.

Thanks to its historical contextualisation through explanatory stories and photos, this exhibition illustrates the symbol of dialogue, promoted by Pope John Paul II during his meetings and his journeys.
For Pope John Paul II, dialogue was never an end in itself, but always a means of engaging with human beings. Among the sick, the poor, the young, the elderly, thinkers, politicians, artists and diplomats, on all continents, in all situations, and in the face of diverse ethnic groups, John Paul II constantly discovered the human beings behind dialogue. In the exhibition, this discovery can be seen on people’s faces: both those who are anxious and those who are full of joy, hope and life.
“Promotion of the work of St. John Paul II, his conviction of the power of Dialogue – are particularly important today, because we live in a world in which an ideological struggle is taking place in which anti-Christianity is becoming widely accepted,” said Ambassador Piotr Wojtczak in his opening speech.  
 
The exhibition is organised in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Luxembourg and will be open at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Luxembourg until 13 November 2020.
