The painter Radek SZLAGA is unveiling a new series of works which deal with various themes around the book Heart of Darkness by the famous writer Joseph CONRAD, who was of Polish origin. Each of the works can be traced back to questions raised by the text, such as the form taken by cultural colonialism, as well as artistic appropriations of passages of the novel or the way they are translated into other forms of popular media.
FINISSAGE on Saturday 11 July 2015 from 14:00 until 18:00.
The artist has been creating his work in both Warsaw and Brussels, where he was in residence from 11 April until 5 June.
