The queen of silence (Poland-Germany, 2014, 80′, OV – sub EN/FR)
The 10 years-old Roma girl Denisa doesn’t speak as no one has ever diagnosed her with hearing disabilities. She lives in a world of her own, full of rhythm and dance, imitating the glamorous women from Bollywood DVDs she found in the garbage. By dancing she can be a queen, and express what she can’t say – joy, sadness and fear.

+++ On Friday 25 March there will be a Q&A with the director Agnieszka Zwiefka after the screening!

Alisa in warland (Poland, 2015, 74′, OV – sub EN/FR)
Alisa is 26 when the revolution starts in Kiev. She’s a student of film school, but above all, she’s Ukrainian. This film describes her journey from Euromaidan to the war in the East. It’s a sensitive diary of young woman lost in the shaky world. Living picture of her tragic experiences, feelings, pains. Alisa was taken captive by separatists, who thought she was sniper from Ukrainian army. She is not just a director anymore, she becomes a participant of the events.
