On 22 June, the Solidarność 1980 Esplanade, the large plaza at the foot of the European Parliament building, will be hosting the new edition of the culinary event THE 28 ON YOUR PLATE, co-organised by the local authority of Ixelles and the ambassadors of the 28 member states of the EU in Brussels.

Over several hours, culinary traditions and local specialities from all of the EU member states will be presented to the public, who can sample typical dishes and regional produce in a heterogeneous musical environment. The event will also provide people with an opportunity to leaf through a large range of tourist brochures, genuine invitations to discover even more of our rich continent. 

Poland will be focusing in particular on the region of Lesser Poland, where the World Youth Day will be taking place this year (26-31 July). Bon appétit, smakkelijk, enjoy or, as the Poles would put it… SMACZNEGO! [smachnego]
