The 9th edition of the central and eastern European film festival  CINEAST is taking place in Luxembourg from 6 until 23 October. Amongst the films from across what was long referred to as eastern Europe, Poland has pride of place. International award-winning feature films, inventive shorts and the creme de la creme of guests (Andrzej SEWERYN, Jerzy RADZIWIŁOWICZ), the programme of this high-quality festival is also supplemented by concerts, including one from Lodz-based group The Washing Machine, which will give a live performance of the soundtrack  – alternative rock version – of the German expressionist masterpiece The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
