The Wieniawski String Quartet was established in 1998. It is currently one of the most important Polish chamber music ensembles. Its musicians are also active members of Polish radio’s Amadeus Chamber Orchestra in Poznań, which is conducted by Agnieszka Duczmal. It is easy to lose track of the number of concerts given by the quartet in Poland and beyond. It regularly plays in the largest classical music festivals. Its repertoire includes works of classical music as well as contemporary pieces, written by both Polish and international composers.
