Expo ‘Dreams of Escape’ & Kuba Więcek Trio @CinEast Festival
Since 2021, CinEast, a film festival dedicated to cinema from Central and Eastern Europe, is the occasion to discover documentaries and short films beside its main focus on contemporary films, but also exhibitions and concerts.
This year, we invite you to discover an exhibition at the Cloître of Neimënster reflecting the festival’s thematic cycle “Dreams of Escape”. It will present five projects by Belgian, Czech, German and Polish artists, among others Martyna Wojtkowska. View the exhibition catalogue.
CinEast also welcomes the well-known young saxophonist and composer Kuba Więcek with his trio for a cinéconcert with live soundtrack to the movie Ménilmontant (Dimitri Kirsanoff, 1926). Together with Michał Barański on double bass and Łukasz Żyta on drums, the trio will play the live soundtrack to the film Ménilmontant by the Estonian director Dimitri Kirsanoff (1926). After the movie, the ensemble will continue with a selection of the trio’s most successful own compositions.
