This year, the International Film Festival for young audiences Filem’On celebrates its 15th edition, and will be held from October 27 to November 6, 2021 in cinemas and online. As every year, the festival offers to families and associations unique and unreleased films in several cinemas and cultural centers in Brussels. Filem’on is pleased to propose in its ECFA Feature Competition selection for this edition the film ‘The Black Mill’ by the Polish director Mariusz Palej, guest of this festival for the second time.
Synopsis: Twelve-year-old Iwo lives in a post-communist city. The visit of an old windmill, with his motley crew of friends, is the beginning of a thrilling adventure. A nod to the fantastic fairy tales of the Grimm brothers!
Mariusz Palej was already a guest at Filem’On in 2015 with the fantasy film “Behind the Blue Door”. Once again, he brings magic to the big screen with this adventure film about friendship and tolerance.
