Foire du livre: “Une maison en moi” exhibition by Patryk Pufelski and Justyna Sokołowska
On the occasion of the Foire du Livre, we invited two exceptional authors:
Patryk Pufelski and Justyna Sokołowska with their book “Une maison en moi”
The 54th edition of the Foire du Livre invites literature lovers to reflect on our connection to the living, the real, and human solidarity through the theme “Habiter le monde,” with over 300 activities taking place at Tour & Taxis from March 13th to 16th.
“Une maison en moi” by Patryk Pufelski and Justyna Sokołowska
A snail, a dog, a gecko, a turtle, and a human. What do they have in common? Explore this touching and charmingly simple story about what a home is – and what matters most in it.
Max is a giant African snail. Until recently, he lived in Ukraine with a boy who would drive him around in a toy truck. Then they had to flee because of the war. Today, he shares a home with other animals forced to leave their homes: a dog whose owner passed away, an abandoned turtle, and a gecko, left behind by a girl who grew bored of it.
In this poetic book, true stories of adopted animals serve as a starting point to reflect on what is important for each of us. What is a home? Can you sometimes carry it with you, as a snail carries its shell? Is a house still a home when it is empty?
