Calendar of cultural events of the Polish Institute Brussels and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute during the
the Polish presidency of the Council of the European Union 2025

In the first half of 2025, Poland will take centre stage on the European cultural scene, presenting a vibrant and diverse artistic programme. For six months, Polish art, theatre, film, music, and literature will bring people together. The programme underscores culture’s ability to act as a bridge connecting various traditions, languages, and experiences. Each event offers a unique opportunity to experience Polish culture firsthand and connect with talented Polish artists and creators. The programme takes particular emphasis on young creators who bring freshness and a modern perspective, while connecting generations and cultures in a dialogue about the future of Europe.

The cultural events program, part of Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union includes projects taking place across many European countries. Below, we’ve selected the official and accompanying events happening in Belgium. The projects initiated and carried out by the Polish Institute Brussels are highlighted in red. The full list of events under the theme “Culture Sparks Unity” can we found on the website https://poland2025eu.culture.pl/ coordinated by Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
