Film Music Workshop with Antoni Komasa-Łazarkiewicz – Call for Applications

In the course of five days, the participants will engage with the topic of film and music. The focus of the workshop will be the interaction and dialogue between all participants of the creative team, putting emphasis on various means of communication between the composer and the director. The participants will work together on creating the music for a scene, either provided by participant filmmakers, or chosen from pre-existing films.
The workshop will be held by Antoni Komasa-Łazarkiewicz. He studied Composition at the Academy of Music in Cracow and has since then scored the music for many TV & theatre projects. Major projects Antoni has composed for include, In Darkness (directed by Agnieszka Holland), Treasure (directed by Julia von Heinz, together with Mary Komasa), Quo Vadis, Aida (directed by Jasmila Zbanic) and The Turncoat (directed by Florian Gallenberger).

For directors:
Please include a sample of Your work with Your application. This can be a completed film or excerpts from a project You’re currently working on and would like to bring to the workshop.
For composers:
Please include a work sample in Your application – such as a piece of music, a film excerpt, or a scene – in MP3 format.
