Lecture at University of Antwerp: After the After: (Re)imagining Holocaust Testimonies as Poetry – Lecture by Prof. Dr. Piotr Florczyk

Are poets and writers working today allowed to write about things they have only heard of from history teachers? If they do, what purpose should guide them in the process? These are some of the questions at the heart of Piotr Florczyk’s poetry volume, From the Annals of Kraków (2020), which is based on the testimonies of Holocaust survivors. He will discuss them during his lecture.
