The Adam Mickiewicz Institute is creating in virtual space an interactive garden inspired by the work of Krzysztof Penderecki. “Penderecki’s Garden” will be in full blossom in November, but the users can already observe the project’s development.
« Penderecki’s Garden » is a digital project, not only dedicated to the composer’s memory but also bringing his figure closer to the public and showing his impact on contemporary music and other artistic fields. The leitmotif of the project is one of Krzysztof Penderecki’s greatest passions — the garden.
In the virtual space, the viewer will have the opportunity to listen to the Master’s works and learn about his artistic and personal biography. However, it will not only be a knowledge base, but also an artistic space presenting the works of other artists that have been inspired by Krzysztof Penderecki’s work.
« Penderecki’s Garden » is addressed to an international audience — all content will be available in English. Its premiere is scheduled for 23 November, the Master’s birthday anniversary. But already today, you can discover its evolution on www.PendereckisGarden.pl
While waiting, you can also play a sound memory game prepared by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, in which instead of pictures, the player is supposed to combine fragments of Krzysztof Penderecki’s works into pairs. The game is available at www.MemoryPenderecki.pl
The project is part of the international cultural program coordinated by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, carried out as part of the Niepodlegla Program 2017-2022.
