With some 4,900 Polish nationals throughout the country, the Poles form an important community in the multicultural landscape of the Grand Duchy and are an integral part of Luxembourg’s history: that of the pre-war period and even that of the 19th century with the economic development of the Grand Duchy.

Thanks to a hundred of portraits realized by the photographer Gabriela Kaziuk and biographies to discover on the website polacy.lu, this exhibition highlights the life paths of Poles living in the Grand Duchy, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Polish-Luxembourgish diplomatic relations (1921-2021). This open-air exhibition, realized in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Luxembourg and the ASBL polska.lu, is to be discovered until November 5, 2021.

On September 24, the opening of the exhibition “The Poles of Luxembourg” will take place at the Place de Strasbourg, in the presence of Mrs. Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg, Mr. Serge Wilmes, first alderman, and Mr. Piotr Wojtczak, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Luxembourg.
