Piotr ANDERSZEWSKI is coming to Brussels with a repertoire in which he excels. On the programme of his first recital at Flagey are three composers who are particularly close to his heart: BACH, SCHUMANN and SZYMANOWSKI.
In 1990, aged just 20, Piotr ANDERSZEWSKI made his artistic debut at the prestigious Leeds International Competition where he played Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations. To say that he wowed the crowd is an understatement. 25 years later, in spite of the polemics which surround him both on stage and off, he is still considered as a brilliant interpreter of the great piano repertoire.
