The Polish pianist Leszek Możdżer is one of the best-known contemporary jazz musicians in Poland, if not the most well-known! He is also renowned beyond Polish borders and often asked to give concerts across the globe.
Nor can one underestimate his studio work, with contributions to more than 10 albums and more than 50 collaborations, with, inter alia, Tomasz Stańko and Zbigniew Namysłowski. Although he is not abandoning his roots in Polish jazz (he notably pays homage to Krzysztof Komeda), he is also involved in other activities outside of the world of jazz, working with Zbigniew Preisner for example on film scores.
On Wednesday 11 October, Leszek Możdżer will give a master class at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles entitled Fondement de l’improvisation, des mathématiques, de la biologie et de la psychologie de la musique. This master class is free and open to all.
