I, CULTURE Orchestra

Cultural diversity is part and parcel of the identity of the Polish I, CULTURE Orchestra, which performs works that reflect and bring together young Polish, Armenian, Azeri, Belarussian, Georgian, Moldovian and Ukrainian musicians.

On 25 October at BOZAR, Poland will be represented by two of its most iconic composers, with Karol SZYMANOWSKI Violin Concerto No. 1, an enchanting, dreamy masterpiece, inspiring musical ecstasy. The solois for this event is the excellent German violonist Carolin WIDMANN. Also on the programme: a Belgian creation by Krzysztof PENDERECKI, as well as Igor STRAVINSKY “heathen”, “visionary” and “scandalous” The Rite of Spring. This masterpiece sparked the advent of modernism in music. Kirill KARABITS (UA), who is the ensemble’s artistic director, will be conducting. A concert in the sign of dialogue, openness and modernism.
