Masterpieces of Polish painting, sculpture and graphics, ancient wall paintings from Faras discovered by Polish archaeologists, medieval and contemporary art – all this can be seen without leaving home in the new portal of the National Museum in Warsaw, which was launched in mid-October 2020.
“The Digital National Museum in Warsaw presents as many as 60 thousand museum objects out of over 800 thousand in the Museum’s collection. – Thanks to the digitisation of the collection, everyone has access on a computer or phone to extraordinary works of art, including those which are regularly kept in storage because of limited exhibition space or the sensitivity of the material,” — says Karolina Tabak, Head of the Digitisation and Visual Documentation Department of the National Museum in Warsaw.
