A concert performed by an excellent Polish Baroque orchestra will commence with George Philipp Telemann’s composition. Linked to the popular Polish Baroque style, strongly present in Telemann’s work, is the G major Concerto TWV 43:G7, known as Concerto Polonois. In addition to the slow-paced triple-meter polonaise (part III), the first part (Dolce) and the final Allegro also carry folk influences.
