Monika Sosnowska’s installation at the Beaufort Triennial by the sea
From March 27 to November 3, 2024, the Beaufort Triennial will present striking and memorable works of art spread over 67 km of the Belgian coast. The theme of the 8th edition of the festival proposed by curator Els Wuyts is “Fabric of life”. Among the 18 international creators invited to participate is Monika Sosnowska, a Polish artist known for her large-scale installations inspired by modernist architecture made from building materials such as concrete and steel.
Monika Sosnowska born in 1972 in Ryki, Poland.
Currently lives and works in Warsaw.
She distorts existing architectural elements in a manner that engages with the spectators’ perception and gaze.
This engenders a pronounced contextual shift, confounding visitors between the technical, historical, and psychological aspects of architecture.
Monika Sosnowska’s installation will be located in Zeebrugge.
Selected works and previous exhibitions of Monika Sosnowska.
