Brussels International Film Festival: Polish films & meetings with filmmakers
During the 8th edition of the Brussels International Film Festival, taking place from 20 to 28 June, the programme will include screenings of Polish films as well as meetings with young Polish filmmakers. This special focus offers an insight into contemporary Polish cinema and highlights the creativity of a new generation of film artists.
Focus on Poland
As every year, the BRIFF celebrates the presidency of the Council of the European Union and honors Polish cinema. A white and red breath flows through the images, dances on the faces, and illuminates the stories with a bright and multifaceted light.

Jola and Wiesek, a colorful couple, run the largest pawnshop in Poland. Once a profitable business, it’s now running at a loss, as the items being pawned are increasingly difficult to sell. They decide to launch a major spring marketing campaign. A humorous take on the misadventures of a second-hand abundance society!
