Staś & Zosia by Zofia Snarska-Słobodzian (2025)
Big siblings, little siblings… They fight over a breakfast sausage and squabble over who gets a seat at the computer. They can’t do with… or without each other!
Inspired by the director’s childhood memories with her older brother, the film takes a humorous look at the small, everyday rivalries between a brother and a sister. A film without words, suitable for ages 4 and up.
The director
Born in 1998 in Częstochowa, Poland, Zofia Snarska-Słobodzian has been studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw since 2021. She is currently working on her diploma film under the supervision of Professor Przemysław Adamski.
The film is screened as part of two short film programmes. Director Zofia Snarska-Słobodzian will attend both screenings for a Q&A with the audience. A great opportunity for young and old alike to go behind the scenes of an animated film!

FILEM’ON: 20 YEARS OF CINEMA FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES
From 25 October to 7 November 2026
Various venues in Brussels

For its 20th edition, Filem’On invites families and children aged 2 to 16 (and grown-ups too!) to discover a rich programme of films from all over the world during the autumn holidays. Alongside the screenings, the festival offers meetings with directors and actors, workshops, and a ciné-concert at the opening celebration.
Under the theme “Filem’On Flashes”, this anniversary edition takes audiences on a journey through decades of fantastic cinema, including several great classics from the Cinematek archives, such as Hugo (2011), The Witches (1990) and Sherlock Jr. (1924). This year’s country in focus is Ireland, with the iconic films of Tomm Moore and a selection of new releases.
The perfect family outing! Check out the full festival programme and book your seats at filemon.be.
