On what heritage, values or missions can we found European identity?

De internationale conferentie “The European Identity: on what heritage, values or missions can we found this identity?” laat ons nadenken over de Europese identiteit ter gelegenheid van de 60ste verjaardag van het Verdrag van Rome. Ze wordt georganiseerd door het Institut d’Etudes européenne (IEE) – Chair in European Values van de Katholieke Universiteit van Louvain-la-Neuve (UCLouvain). Verschillende gerenommeerde persoonlijkheden en onderzoekers komen langs, waaronder professor Dariusz STOLA, directeur van het Museum van de Geschiedenis van de Poolse Joden POLIN

Dariusz STOLA is historicus, professor aan het Instituut voor Politieke Studies van de Poolse Academie voor Wetenschappen, lid van het Centrum voor Migratiestudies aan de Universiteit van Warschau. Hij is directeur van het Museum van de Geschiedenis van de Poolse Joden POLIN in Warschau sinds maart 2014. Hij is auteur van zes werken en mede-uitgever van vier publicaties. Zijn artikels over de politieke en sociale geschiedenis van Polen in de 20ste eeuw, over de holocaust, internationale migratiestromingen en het communistische regime lopen in de honderdtallen.
