On Wednesday, May 29th at 6:00 PM, we invite you to a special curatorial tour with Wiktoria Michałkiewicz and a meeting with the artist Maciej Markowicz.

This will be another great opportunity to get closer acquainted with the work of Maciej Markowicz, as well as to discuss photography and Camera Obscura technology in greater detail.

Maciej Markowicz’s first comprehensive solo exhibition in Berlin, held at the Polish Institute, is a record of his contemplative reflection on the city created using a unique technique: the moving Camera Obscura. Born in southern Poland, the artist associated with Berlin for the past six years, modernized the Camera Obscura technique in his artistic practice, using mobile vehicles with a built-in camera that he created himself. Based on the basic principles of photography: light and photosensitive material, Markowicz makes photographs from inside his van or barge.
