Elles Tournent – Dames Draaien, the only film festival in Brussels dedicated to movies by and for women, will show a Polish film this year! On Sunday 28 January, a screening is organised of The Art of Loving (Sztuka Kochania) in Cinéma Vendôme, a film by the Polish director Maria Sadowska.

The Art of Loving (Sztuka kochania)

The film tells the story of Michalina Wisłocka, a gynaecologist who achieved the impossible. With her book “The Art of Love” she revolutionised the sexual life of communist Poland. Before she could publish the book, she had to go a long way fighting conservative stereotypes, pervasive ignorance and censorship.
