In 2023 we celebrate the 550th anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus, one of the greatest representatives of the Renaissance, a world-renowned Polish astronomer and the creator of the heliocentric theory.

On this occasion, the National Centre for Culture Poland is organising an international competition for an outdoor spatial installation. The competition is aimed at designers and design groups both in Poland and abroad. It aims to introduce the figure and achievements of Nicolaus Copernicus.

The organisers wish to encourage contemporary artists and designers to draw inspiration from the history and traditions of Polish culture and science , and to seek creative solutions in the area of exhibition design, with a particular focus on outdoor spatial installations aimed at a wide audience.
