March 1st is the birthday of Fryderyk Chopin who was born 210 years ago. Traditionally, the concert dedicated to the anniversary of the world famous Polish classic will take place in the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
This year’s dedication concert will be given by Polish pianist Kamil Pacholec, laureate of the 2nd prize of the 11th Paderewski’s International Pianist Competition in Bydgoszcz. The concerts in Ukraine are the Polish competition winner’s award from the Polish Institute in Kyiv.
The concert in Dnipro on March 3, 2020 will also mark the 30th anniversary of foundation of the Frédéric Chopin Society in Ukraine (Dnipro).
Kamil Pacholec is the laureate of the 11th Paderewski’s International Pianist Competition. He is also a laureate of several international pianist competitions. In 2016 he became the winner of the main award and several special prizes of the 46th All-Polish Fryderyk Chopin Pianist Competition in Katowice. In 2018 he won the International Pianist Competition in Livorno, „The Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Prize” in Italy and the 1st International Chopin Competition on historic documents (semi-finalist). He won several Polish scholarships for young talents. Since 2016 he has been under the patronage of the National Fryderyk Chopin Institute as part of the “Young Talents” program.
