The House of Architect Horodetsky
(Poland, 2017, ’49, directed by Wiesław Romanowski)
The creative work of a prominent architect Vladyslav Horodetsky in Kyiv began at a tipping point between the 19th and 20th centuries. His works are numerous, from the Classicist National Art Museum to the Karaim Kenesa in the Moorish style. The pinnacle of the creative rise of Vladyslav Horodetsky was his own house on Bankova street, 10, the so-called “House with chimeras” which he built in 1903 on the account of his 40th birthday. It embodies Horodetsky’s interest in hunting and his creative fantasy that rebelled against routing forms and traditions.
The film will be shown in the original language with Ukrainian subtitles.
The number of seats is limited.
