It was here, near Hadiach, where 360 years ago the treaty between the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Hetmanate was signed. It envisaged that the latter would join the Commonwealth as the “Great Duchy of Ruthenia” to become the third equal party of the bilateral Polish-Lithuanian union.

On this occasion the most authoritative Polish and Ukrainian scholars who study the Treaty of Hadiach, representatives of the diplomatic corps and local authorities will gather in Hadiach.
