Therefore, I think that this book would be interesting to everybody.” This year’s the National Reading will take place for the eighth time. Considering the uniqueness of the 2018 year, the First Lady of Poland Agata Kornhauser-Duda announced during the official event in the President Palace in Warsaw that the book for the National Reading 2018 would be the “Anthology of Independence”. The anthology includes 44 texts, from the medieval religious hymn “Holy Mother” to contemporary Polish literary works. The high point of this action will be the joint reading of Stefan Żeromski’s novel “Early Spring” on Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Thus, on September 8, 2018 joint readings of Stefan Żeromski’s novel “Early Spring” will be organized throughout Poland in schools, libraries, cultural institutions and the like. The Polish Institute in Kyiv also takes part in this literary relay race, and its representatives will wait for all those wishing to participate in the “Kupidon”. The text will be available on site.
