“100th Anniversary of the Restoration of Independence of Poland”
Achieving of independence in 1918 became possible due to endurance and self-sacrifice of the active part of Polish society which passed on the fondness for their own language and national culture to new generations of Poles in times of subjection.
The price of independence was high. However, the joy of achieving the independence in November of 1918 after more than 120 years of division overcomes the losses suffered by Polish lands and Poles in the World War I. With the exhibition “100th Anniversary of the Restoration of Independence of Poland” we want to show the passion of citizens of the restored Poland and to present the origins of the new state. To present various directions of development of the new state whose citizens played an active part in the process of statecraft.
The exhibition is a part of the long-term program Niepodległa dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the restoration of independence of Poland.
