Jacek Kortus, a laureate of many international and Polish piano competitions, will play the concert in Kyiv.
In 2005 he became a finalist of the 15th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. He plays in leading philharmonics of Poland and the world (Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, UK, Italy, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, China, Japan, Taiwan, Israel, Palestine, Marocco).
In 2006 he was awarded the “Young Art Medal”, which is given to young artists for outstanding creative achievements, and the Hipolit Cegielski Young Positivist Medal for achievements in organic work. In addition, he was nominated for the Passport of Politics award. Jacek Kortus’ first solo album which included works of Chopin and Liszt was issued in May 2008.
