The presented posters of 1980s are related to the significant events around the peaceful civic movement “Solidarity”. This is a reminder about repressions of peaceful Polish citizens done by the Communist power, historical events that were belied by the regime, use of the religious symbols forbidden in the Communist space, and finally, support of the hope and striving for freedom and information about the achievements: free elections of June 4, 1989.
Works of the following artists will be exhibited: Krzysztof Baran, Czeslaw Bielecki, Jacek Bakowski, Andrzej Budek, Jacek Cwikla, Katarzyna Dobrowolska etc.
The author of the selection is Jozef Zuk Piwkowski. The posters were the attachment for the special issue of the “Tytul Roboczy” magazine in 2010, issue 035-036.
