“City 44“: is the first film since Andrzej Wajda’s “Kanał” (Channel), which is fully dedicated to the Warsaw Uprising.

It is a story about young Poles who had to enter the adult life during the dreadful time of occupation. In spite of that, they are full of life, passionate and eager. They live as if each day is the last one. This is not because of excessive desperateness or youthful frivolity. Such attitude is natural in the reality where death threatens them every step of the way.
