Krzysztof Kopczyński at DocuDays

Krzysztof Kopczyński is a doctor of human sciences, assistant professor of the Warsaw University, author of books and articles about literature, cinema and mass media. He is a documentary film maker and head of the Eureka Media studio, which carries out film making and media education since 1997.  He made several dozens of documentary films, TV series and a feature film, which were shown in 70 countries and won more than 130 festival awards. He is the director of the “Stone Silence” documentary film that was represented at the festivals and TV channels of 35 countries. He is a laureate of 14 cinematography awards, including the one for the “Stone Silence” film at the Docu Days Festival in Kyiv.  He is a member of the European and Polish Film Academies and a member of the European Documentary Network. He participated several times in the work of the jury of international film festivals in Batumi, Chicago, Leipzig, Warsaw, and Wroclaw. Currently he works on the documentary film “Dybuk,” a Polish-Ukrainian co-production that will be filmed in the territory of Ukraine.

During the festival in Kyiv Krzysztof Kopczyński will work in the jury and will conduct several master classes for young cinematographers.

DocuDays UA is the only international festival of films about human rights in Ukraine. After the completion of the main festival event in Kyiv Docudays UA will travel around the country. Each year the Traveling festival Docudays UA visits about a hundred of Ukrainian cities and towns. Docudays UA belongs to the International Human Rights Film Network (HRFM).
