Katarzyna Wasiak was born in Zielona Góra, Poland to a musical family. She learned the piano under Krzysztof Jabłoński (1997/98) and Janina Butor (1998-2002). Having obtained a scholarship of F. Chopin Institute in Warsaw, she followed with studies at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna with Oleg Maisenberg (2002-2003) and Wolfgang Watzinger (2003-2006), and at the Universität der Künste in Berlin under the supervision of Jacques Rouvier (2006-2009), where also in 2008 she began to study teaching. Between 2009-2012 she participated in Master studies at the Hochschule für Musik Hans Eisler in Berlin in the class of Fabio Bidini. She complemented her education with many mastercourses, conducted by Waldemar Wojtal, Andrzej Jasiński, Wlodzimierz Obidowicz, Ewa Pobłocka, Alexey Orlovetski, Krassimira Jordan, John O’Conor, Vladimir Krainev, Angela Cheng, Dan Zhaoyi, Lee Kum Sing, John Perry, Bernard Ringeissen and Vladimir Viardo.
