Ukrainian artists compete for the Malevich Award for the fifth time already! This year’s jury made an unprecedented decision to allow four candidates to participate in the final. Let us remind you that the Award was initiated in 2008 by the Polish Institute in Kyiv in collaboration with its Polish and Ukrainian partners.
The Laureate of the Malevich Award-2016 will receive:
- Money reward of 3000 EUR (in UAH equivalent) from the Polish Institute in Kyiv;
- Residence in the Center for Contemporary Art “Ujazdowski Castle” in Warsaw in 2018;
Finalists of the award (4 persons) and representatives of the applicant organizations (4 persons) will be invited to make a studio trip to Poland in 2017.
In addition, the expert council of the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School will choose their nominee from among the four finalists of this year’s award, “for breakthrough concepts”.
The laureate of the kmbs will receive the opportunity to:
- organize an exhibition in the Ideas Gallery;
- participate in kmbs educational programs;
- participate in intellectual discussions as part of closed events of the kmbs community.
The award ceremony will be held on November 18 (Friday), 2016 at 18:00 in the FedorivHub (V. Vasylkivska st., 5, of.25, 5th floor)
