“The Squadron of Hope” in Ukrainian cinemas 🗺

The film tells about the Polish ace pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain during the World War II

The newest Polish-British film “The Squadron of Hope” (“Dywizjon 303”) will be premiered in Ukrainian cinemas on January 31, 2019. The film tells about the Polish ace pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain during the World War II. The film is based on the bestseller of Arkady Fiedler*, which depicts the heroic journey of the Polish pilots in the Royal Air Force (RAF) of the United Kingdom. At first they had been underestimated and ridiculed, but eventually became a legend. The film tells not only about spectacular air fights during the Battle of Britain, but also about the private life of the air aces: whom they loved, whom they lost, and whom they mourned.

“The Squadron of Hope”, an official Ukrainian trailer of the film:

* Arkady Fiedler’s book “Squadron 303” was printed in 1942 in Poland. It tells the story of the Squadron 303, which was one of the best and the most efficient fighter divisions of the World War II. During the Battle of Britain they had 126 shootdowns, a record for the fighter divisions that participated in the battle. As of today, it has been published in Poland 30 times and translated into many languages of the world: English, French, Portuguese, Dutch, and German.
