MAR 2019 in Lviv 🗺
The Month of Authors’ Reading in Lviv, the largest trans-border festival in Central and East Europe, is conducted in Ukraine for the fifth time. The festival joins Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine into single cultural space and creates deep links between Brno, Ostrawa, Kosice, Wroclaw and Lviv through the authors who travel between these cities and create a living network of common narratives.
Each year the festival invites the fifth guest country to the company of the four host countries and introduces it to the public in all five cities. In 2019 the honorary guest of the Month of Authors’ Reading in Lviv is Romania.
Each day from July 5 to August 4 in Lviv, in the gallery of scenography of the Lesia Ukrainka Theater (Horodotska st., 36) authors from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine will read at 18:30 and guests from Romania are to be expected at 20:00. Admission to all festival events is free.
As it is the case each year, Polish literature is represented at the festival in a variety of ways.
