15TH INTERNATIONAL GOMBROWICZ FESTIVAL

JAN KOCHANOWSKI POPULAR THEATRE IN RADOM

INVITES FOREIGN DIRECTORS TO STAGE A PLAY BY GOMBROWICZ

Jan Kochanowski Popular Theatre in Radom is the host of the International Gombrowicz Festival. The Festival takes place every two years and the next edition is planned for October 2022.

We would like to make foreign artists interested in this writer’s works. This is why directors who would like to direct a play by Gombrowicz are invited to Radom for a study visit. We will take artists on a tour to the Witold Gombrowicz Museum in Wsola, where a curator will talk about the writer. Thanks to it, artists will be able to understand his works better.

After the visit to Poland, directors will stage a play by Gombrowicz in their countries. The most interesting performances will be included in the programme of the 15th International Gombrowicz Festival in 2022.

We encourage directors to inform us about their willingness to participate in the project by 31 August by writing to the following address: teatr@teatr.radom.pl

An application should:

– contain a biographical note

– suggest how the play will be done

– outline a general idea of the performance

We encourage you to participate in our project. See you in Radom!
