Inauguration of the Polish Chairmanship at the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe

On the occasion of the inauguration of the Polish Chairmanship at the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Polish Institute in Vienna in cooperation with the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the OSCE in Vienna organised a ceremonial concert with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Zbigniew Rau, OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
During the evening at Palais Niederösterreich, the invited guests heard works by the outstanding Polish composers: Grażyna Bacewicz, Józef Świder, Roman Maciejewski, as well as by the Austrian composers associated with Vienna: Joseph Haydn and Alexander von Zemlinski.
The pieces were performed by the musicians of one of the leading Polish philharmonics – The Arthur Rubinstein Łódź Philharmonic (Filharmonia Łódzka im. Artura Rubinsteina): Ewelina Zawiślak – flute, Agata Piotrowska-Bartoszek – oboe, Roman Pryliński – clarinet, Krzysztof Kamiński – bassoon, Zbigniew Monkiewicz – French horn.

Anlässlich des Antritts des polnischen Vorsitzes in der Organisation für Sicherheit und Zusammenarbeit in Europa (OSZE) veranstaltete das Polnische Institut Wien in Zusammenarbeit mit der Ständigen Vertretung der Republik Polen bei der OSZE in Wien ein festliches Konzert, an dem der Außenminister der Republik Polen, Zbigniew Rau, die Generalsekretärin der OSZE, Helga Schmid, und VertreterInnen des diplomatischen Corps teilnahmen.
Während des Abends im Palais Niederösterreich konnten die geladenen Gäste Werke von den herausragenden polnischen KomponistInnen genießen: Grażyna Bacewicz, Józef Świder, Roman Maciejewski und mit Wien verbundene österreichische KomponistInnen: Joseph Haydn und Alexander von Zemlinski.
Die Stücke wurden von den MusikerInnen einer der führenden polnischen Philharmonien aufgeführt – Artur-Rubinstein-Philharmonie Łódź – aufgeführt: Ewelina Zawiślak – Flöte, Agata Piotrowska-Bartoszek – Oboe, Roman Pryliński – Klarinette, Krzysztof Kamiński – Fagott, Zbigniew Monkiewicz – Waldhorn.
