The project was created in order to articulate the positions of post-Communist countries in the art of design and visual culture that are manifested through the prism of education.

On September 5th, an open round table “Alternative variants of development: design and contemporary art under the circumstances of the post-Soviet education system, globalization, and national tendencies” will be held in Kyiv.

September 6-9 – master classes of Rene Wawrzkiewicz for students

Rene Wawrzkiewicz is a designer, curator and researcher, a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Co-founder of one of the first independent design studios in Poland “MamaStudio” (2001-2008). Initiator and curator of the project exhibition “Design Freedom”.  Teacher in the School of Form in Poznań where he oversees the Communication Design branch of study.
