Polish Talk – Mondays with the Jewish Historical Institute (JHI) begins its second season with a virtual discussion on the topography of Warsaw and its Jewish Past.

The meeting will be held on October 25 (Monday) at 7 p.m. IL time and lead by Dr. Bartosz Borys, Head of the JHI Education Department. The entire season is built from a fascinating journey participants are invited to take as we explore the Jewish legacy of Poland and is the result of the Polish Institute Tel Aviv working alongside Moreseht-Mordechai Anielewicz Education and Research Center and the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute.

Dr. Borys will introduce the audience to the unique history of the Oneg Shabbat Group which created an underground archive to document Nazi crimes in occupied Warsaw. Making it a unique group of intellectuals resisting the horrors of the Holocaust. The entire archive was hidden beneath the earth and discovered after the war ended.

The discussion will be moderated in English by Noam Leibman from Moreshet.
