The Witcher – fiction and literature event

A special event on the occasion of the publication of the Hebrew version of The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski

The Witcher, a globally successful series of fantasy novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski is now available in the Hebrew translation of Ilay Halpern

in an edition printed by Yedioth Books.  

On Monday January 24th at 19:00 we will hold a special launching event at the “Little Prince” Bookstore in Tel Aviv, 19 King George St.  

The series (Wiedźmin in Polish) is focused on the witcher, Geralt of Rivia, as a man with super-natural abilities who slays deadly monsters and was adapted to a movie

(2021 The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf) a series of best-selling video games produced by the Polish gaming firm CD Projekt Red (over 50 million games sold)

and a 2017 ongoing Netflix series with Henry Cavill as Geralt.  

The panel will include fantasy writer Hagar Yanai who will moderate the discussion. Expert Witcher LARP (Live Action Role Play) player Ilya Pertsovsky and Dr. Shai Feraro

who recently published Women and Gender Issues in British Paganism 1945-1990.     

The panel will discuss what makes the Witcher universe so appealing. We invite those who love fantasy literature, LARP, gaming, and board games to join us.
