Poland and Israel meet on one canvas – lecture by Jonathan Hirschfeld
How do the echoes of Maurycy Gottlieb — one of the most prominent Jewish-Polish painters — and Jan Matejko, who captured Poland’s history in monumental works, still resonate in contemporary Israeli art?
