Polish encounters at the Library #2

On February 27, as part of the “Polish Meetings” series at the Polish Institute Library, we warmly invite to a meeting with Polish-Israeli photographer Tomasz Soliński. Participants will learn the basics of photography and receive practical, hands-on tips for taking great photos. All of that in Polish!

Throughout 2026, the Polish Institute Library will host a new series of meetings in Polish – “Polish Meetings” (Polskie spotkania) – aimed at the Polish-speaking community in Israel. The series seeks to create a lively and vibrant community space. In each session, community members will lead an open discussion around their interests, knowledge, and expertise. It is a place to meet, share personal and professional experience, and strengthen connections within the community – with generosity, curiosity, and a desire to deepen relationships.

The second event will take place on February 27 and will be dedicated to photography. Tomasz Soliński – a Polish-Israeli photographer – will share the secrets of the art of photography with us. Our special guest will talk about the basics of photography and discuss the role of perspective, composition, and light in creating a great photo. How can you take a beautiful portrait or a successful landscape shot? What should you keep in mind, and what should you avoid when working with a camera? During the session, Tomasz will showcase his best photographs, share practical tips, and tell stories from his professional experience.
